Fitness Yoga is an effective and exciting 'mind' and 'body' workout. It is a safe practice that will make you sweat and work hard, connecting breath with movement. It combines aerobic and anaerobic movements, as well as elements from Hatha Yoga and traditional exercise, linked together in a flowing series of poses that create strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. It's about exploring your limits physically and mentally, working all parts of your body equally to create balance that will compliment other activities of daily life.

What exercises do you do in Fitness Yoga?

There are a number of exercises undertaken in yoga, but the popular ones include Child's Pose, downward facing dog, rag doll, sun salutation, high plank and upward facing dog.

How many calories do you burn during Fitness Yoga?

Of course, as with most workouts, the amount of calories burned during yoga depends on the intensity of your class along with your age, height, gender and weight. Generally speaking, yoga can torch anywhere from 180 to 600 calories per hour.

What do you need for a Fitness Yoga workout?

Wear your usual workout clothes and bring a water bottle, a towel and a mat. We’ll do the rest.

How often should I do Fitness Yoga?

A general rule of thumb is that yoga is best when practiced between two and five times per week. As you ease your way into a consistent practice schedule, that's a good goal to aim for! Over time, you might find that your body can handle five or six sessions each week, if that's what you want.

Can I do Fitness Yoga while I am pregnant?

Research suggests that prenatal yoga is safe and can have many benefits for pregnant women and their babies. However, intense backbends, twists, and forward bends; poses that involve forceful contractions or engagement of your abdominals should be avoided. We suggest talking to your doctor if you have any more questions about exercising while pregnant.

Book a class

Places can be booked up to seven days in advance of the class. Members please use either the TRAKK app or members portal. Non-members will need to visit reception to pay some money onto an account to be able to book classes. Once they have done this then they will receive a unique ID enabling them to book classes via the mobile app or members’ portal.
Please remember if you need to cancel any of the classes you have booked this must be done at least 90 minutes prior to the start of the class if you cannot attend. If you miss two classes within 30 days this will result in you being unable to book online and will have to do this in person at reception.
